Historical NotesPittsburgh Pirates "Babushka Brigade" babushka. When the Pirates were in the National League playoffs in 1975, Murphy's Store #12 began to sell headscarfs with the Pirates logo worn by Pittsburgh women. Announcer Bob Prince called them the "Babushka Brigade."
