BiographyThe cap was made by the Keystone Uniform Cap Corporation. The corporation was formed by Hyman Selvin in 1929 with a partner who he bought out, so the company would be solely his. Hyman kept the company in the family and the business was passed to his son Harold Selvin who later passed it to his own son, David Selvin and his partner Neal Susten. The corporation is well known for its manufacturing and supply of uniform caps particularly for police officers, firefighters, and American war veterans.
