Historical NotesGloves worn by Emily Medick Kimmich on her wedding day. German immigrant Emily Medick was a personal seamstress to the H.J. Heinz family until her marriage to another German immigrant, Louis Kimmich, in 1896. The family lived at 5412 Broad Street in East Liberty where Louis ran the L. Kimmich barber shop. The family had two children, a daughter named Henrietta and a son.
