DescriptionTall colorless glass goblet, with acid-etched decoration. Long inverted-bell or pear-shaped body, set upon a baluster-shape stem, cut with six facets and polished, connected by means of a small wafer to a circular foot. Top rim ground flat yet un-polished, with acid-etched frosting. Etched pattern of roses and buds surround the body, along with an initial letter.Dimensions6.375 x 3.125 x 3.125 in. (16.2 x 7.9 x 7.9 cm)InscriptionsBody has etched initial: "H".
MarksBody has etched "Locke Art", located in semi-inverted position to left of large rose on left flank of initial letter.
Historical NotesPart of a collection of glassware with decoration applied by donor Beatrice Cobun's grandfather, Joseph Locke, who operated a workshop (Locke Art Glass) located in Mount Oliver.
