DescriptionOff-white ceramic cup and saucer set with an off-white glaze, includes cup and saucer. Off-white ceramic cup with an off-white glaze has a circular base and body with a circular, open mouth. Applied, rounded handle on one side with a black line down the middle. Black line encircling mug just underneath rim and lime green line below that. Bottom of cup has kelly green, stamped manufacturing text and a foot. Off-white ceramic saucer with an off-white glaze has a circular base with sides that flare up and out; center of saucer has a circular, shallow well for cup to sit. Black line encircling saucer just underneath rim and lime green line just below that. Historical NotesCup and saucer set, part of collection of objects related to Isaly's. Isaly's started with Christian Isaly immigrating to Monroe County, Ohio, in 1833 and starting a cheese making business. From there, generations of the family expanded to eventually create Isaly's Dairy Companies, which sold dairy products and deli meats in stores spread across Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Isaly's became known for their Skyscraper Cones, butter, cheese, baked ham and bologna, chipped chopped ham, and old fashioned ice cream.
