DescriptionRed metal film reel. Film reel is circular and painted red on the outside. Reel has a circular hub in the middle that film would be wound around and two sides, called flanges, that would keep the film place. Each side has multiple large cutouts, and the center has six circular cutouts. Hole in very center for reel to connect to projector or camera. Engraved manufacturing information on outside of both flanges with logo; logo is a hexagon with a large "G" and "B" on top of each other.DimensionsDiameter x Depth: 14.375 x 1.875 in. (36.5 x 4.8 cm)

Historical NotesJean-Pierre Nutini was a rigging gaffer, best boy, and actor who worked on nearly every major motion picture filmed in Pittsburgh from the early 1990s until his death in 2013. Along with his work in the film industry, Nutini also worked on concerts, stage performances, and political rallies, and was active in SAG-AFTRA Local 3, a stagehands union. He was also a charter member of IATSE local 489, known as “Iron City Grips." The film reel is part of larger collection of film and set memorabilia from Jean-Pierre Nutini.
