Historical NotesSewickley-Coraopolis Bridge commemorative pin. This pin was designed to commemorate the celebration held between September 18-23, 1911 for the grand opening of the Sewickley-Coraopolis Bridge. The bridge was constructed between 1909-1911 with steel fabrication by the the Fort Pitt Bridge Works. The bridge underwent a series of repairs throughout the 1970s and 1980s, and remains in use. The pin belonged to donor Margot G. Minor's mother, Ermine Frederick Campbell, who might have attended the celebration. Campbell was a suffragette, a charter member of the Women's Civic Club of Brookline, and a founding member of the Thursday Reading Club and Over 55'ers of Brookline.
