Historical NotesWestinghouse Clerks’ Association glass, 1967. Many members of donor Keith Gratzmiller's family worked for Westinghouse including both his grandfathers and one great grandfather. Donor thinks the glass may have belonged to his maternal grandfather William Moir. The Clerks' Association started in 1914 as did the Veteran Employees Association, both a response by the company to a rise in strikes during the period. Several welfare programs were also established at this time by the company in the hopes it would stem some of the unrest. The Clerks’ Association was made up of members of the firm in clerical positions.
