DescriptionJudicial campaign badge. Rectangular clear plastic sleeve containing rectangular off-white paper insert (sticker). Paper has black printed campaign message that is outlined in yellow/gold. Back of paper insert has adhesive covered with brown backing paper. Back of plastic sleeve opens along bottom edge with overhanging tab along bottom for closure. Historical NotesPart of a collection of political memorabilia related to Andrew Butko's involvement in national, state, and local Democratic Party politics. Bernard L. McGinley, b. 1946, Democrat, Pittsburgh. Attended Central Catholic and received his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Served as assistant district attorney from 1971 to 1975, then as a professor of criminal law at the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) from 1974 to 1975. Had a private law practice from 1975 to 1977. From 1977 to 1982 he was the chairman of the Board of Viewers before being elected a judge in 1981 to the Common Pleas Court before becoming a Commonwealth Judge in 1988 and served for over 30 years.
