DescriptionSmall, handheld gang noodle cutter. Turned wooden handle, painted green, holds a formed-wire frame onto which is mounted a series of ten evenly-spaced metal discs, backed by a sheet metal shield or guide, with long slotted perforations into which the discs protrude; when a small metal tab is depressed, the shield rises, and releases the freshly-cut noodles from the device. Historical NotesKitchen tool used by donor Frances Jean Weaver's grandmother, Marie Anna Kos Kovar, (1871-1956) a Czech immigrant (Bohemia) who moved to Pittsburgh in 1912. The family first settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
