DescriptionPenknife premium. Silver metal pocket knife with yellow plastic(?)- or shell(?)-sided handle mounted with three metal rivets each side. One blade mounted at each end and folds inward into body. Front of body has gray company name. Blade on viewer's left is longer than blade on viewer's right; each has a fingernail depression along the top edge. DimensionsHeight x Width x Depth (Blades retracted): 0.625 x 3.188 x 0.25 in. (1.6 x 8.1 x 0.6 cm)

Historical NotesIsaly's penknife giveaway gifted to donor James W. Pry II's mother Louise Crider Pry by Louise and Henry Isaly. Henry was the youngest son of William Isaly, the company’s founder. Louise Crider Pry went to high school in Mansfield with Henry and Louise. Henry Isaly and Louise Emery were married in 1928. They moved to Pittsburgh in 1929 to help open up an Isaly’s plant in the city. The company went on to open a factory on Boulevard of the Allies and many branch stores.
