Historical NotesShoehorn from Wein's Clothing Store. Wein's Clothing Store was a department store in Clarion, Pennsylvania. run by three generations of the Wein family. It was started in 1911 by brothers Philip and Thomas Wein, who had recently immigrated to the United States from Poland. The business was later run by Philip’s three sons, Meyer, Milton, and Charles, and by Thomas’s three sons, Morris, Victor, and Joseph. Morris Wein’s son Alan Wein joined the business in 1982 and later took over the business, overseeing it into the 21st century before closing in 2020.
