Raymond Clapp (father of donor William Clapp) obtained the hockey stick during a 1973 Boston Bruins vs. Pittsburgh Penguins game at Boston Garden. He got to know the attendant of the penalty box, and he used to give him any broken sticks. Raymond was a union carpenter and lived in Rochester, Massachusetts.
