DescriptionSouvenir ashtray. Circular brass-tone metal ashtray with shallow bowl at center and slightly sloped rim with four cigarette rests. Decoration painted on front consists of white perimeter with red park name at top center and unpainted brass-tone interior and exterior edges. Bowl has central black shield with park name in white above carousel horse; shield is on yellow background which is surrounded by park images, clockwise from top: photograph of Noah's Ark ride, photograph of The Patio restaurant, illustration of Kenny the Kangaroo in front of roller coaster and ferris wheel, and photograph of The Turnpike ride; each photograph is captioned below in red text. Historical NotesKennywood souvenir ashtray. Part of a Kennywood Park collection donated by Jason Belavic who was an employee at the park from 1988 to 2009. Belavic started out as a pot washer in the “Patio Café” and went on to work in various capacities throughout his time at Kennywood. When items were being disposed of, Belavic would take them home and preserve them.
