Historical NotesThe donor's father-in-law, Andrew T. Fenrich, used this typewriter when writing articles and newsletters. Fenrich served nine terms as a Pennsylvania state representative of the North Side neighborhood of Pittsburgh from 1949 to 1974. A prominent member of Pittsburgh's Democratic Party, Fenrich also worked as a public relations and patronage secreatary for former mayor David Lawrence from 1954-1958.
