Historical Notes2018 Topps Allen & Ginter Phil Coyne baseball trading card. PNC Park usher Phil Coyne was born in 1918 and began ushering baseball games at Forbes Field in 1936. Except for taking four years off for military service during WWII, it is believed by many that Phil retired with the longest continuous tenure in one job of any American citizen. Not only did Phil usher for more than 6,000 games at Forbes Field, Three Rivers Stadium, and PNC Park with his final years in sections 26 and 27, he also served as a long-time usher at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Oakland.
