Historical NotesPittsburgh Police “Stronger Than Hate” decal. Following the synagogue shooting on October 27, 2018, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Steelers, commissioned these special decals for patrol cars in Zone 4, covering Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, and Greenfield. Zone 4 was the first law enforcement agency to arrive at the Tree of Life synagogue following the attack, and four of its officers were injured in the attack. The decal is quite possibly the first time a Star of David has appeared on a police vehicle outside of Israel.
