Historical NotesWomen’s hat from local Homestead store called Ruth’s Hat Shop. The store was owned by Richard P. Roth. Roth was born in Homestead around 1930, his father George was a janitor and his brother Andrew worked in the mill. It is unclear when the store opened or shut and if Richard started it or took it over from someone else.
