Historical NotesTablecloth from Woman's Club of Mount Washington. The Mount Washington Woman’s Club met at the Cinosam Club (“Masonic” spelled backwards) on Mt. Washington, and disbanded when the property was sold. Mention of the club in local papers begins in 1950, which is presumed to be its approximate start date. The Cinosam Club closed in 1987. The Woman’s Club’s records and artifacts were compiled by its one-time president, Ada Bender McClure, a prominent citizen in the Mount Washington community. At her death, her nephew donated those materials to the Haven Heights United Methodist Church, where McClure and many other club members were active.
