Historical NotesHeinz, Noble & Company bottle for horseradish dating from about c. 1872 to 1875. Heinz & Noble formed in 1869 with the partnership of H.J. Heinz and Clarence Noble to sale horseradish and other preserved goods. In 1872 they added E.J. Noble as a third partner and changed the name to Heinz, Noble & Company. By the end of 1875 the company had declared bankruptcy and folded. Heinz restarted his company the next year under the name the F. & J. Heinz Company.
