Historical NotesHeinz Noble and Company horseradish bottle.Label TextThis bottle not only displays the first Heinz and Noble project, horseradish, but also reflects the history of the company. From 1869 until declaring bankruptcy in 1875, Heinz worked in partnership with Clarence and Eugene Noble. The company was revived in 1876 as F. &J. Heinz, using the initials of H.J.’s cousin Frederick and brother John. In 1888, H.J. took ownership of the company and renamed it the H.J. Heinz Company.
