Historical NotesKennywood Park employee uniform top c. 1980 worn by donor when he was employed there in the Games Department. The donor worked at Kennywood from 1977 to 1982, the summer after his junior year at Duquesne through the completion of his bachelors degree at Penn State. He then worked the summer of 1984-85 while he was completing his MBA at Pitt. He worked the Gunsmoke Shooting Gallery, Bottle Game, Wild Animal Ring Toss and the Fastpitch. Duquesne High School had a work release program for Kennywood park, students employed at the park could leave school in early May to work. This meant that a lot of the employees were teenagers that lived in the Mon Valley. The donor remembers that he made 2.25 an hour when he started and also received a .15 bonus per hour if he worked through Labor Day.
