Kronzek worked as a kosher butcher beginning in the 1930s and was an early member of the Hebrew Butcher Workers Union of Pittsburgh, founded in 1939. The embosser complements a previous gift from the same donor of a butcher's knife used at Kronzek's Kosher Meat Market (see #2005.90).
