Historical NotesThis WWII-era parachute was a leftover from a stock of parachutes used by the donor’s mother Rose Rinaldy (also spelled Rinaldi) to make clothing. During the war when certain fabrics were scarce, women would make lingerie and other undergarments from old parachutes.
