DescriptionBasketball trophy consisting of an off-white, plastic pedestal base and with a gold-tone metal plate on the front side of the base. Text engraved throughout front. Westinghouse symbol screwed to top-center section of plate. Gold-tone metal figure of a man reaching up and holding a basketball in his proper right hand attached to top of pedestal. Figure is attached to a gold-tone, circular metal piece that has laurel leaves attached around outside.Dimensions19.625 × 5.625 × 4.625 in. (49.8 × 14.3 × 11.7 cm)InscriptionsWestinghouse symbol at the top reads “WESTINGHOUSE” with a large “W” below this in the center.

Historical NotesWestinghouse Apprentice School Athletic Association basketball trophy awarded to the 1948-1949 team. Transferred from the George Westinghouse Museum to the Heinz History Center when the museum closed in 2007.
