InscriptionsAcross top reads: "HENRY CLAY / THE FARMER OF ASHLAND". Across bottom reads: "BORN APRIL 12 1777". There is an image of Clay in the middle facing proper right. On the reverse side, there are two tree branches that extend up from the bottom and run along either side of the token and meet at the top. In the middle reads: "THE NOBLE / & / PATRIOTIC / SUPPORTER / OF THE / PEOPLES RIGHTS".
