Raised text around perimeter "ALUMINUM COMPANY OF AMERICA / VANCOUVER WORKS" and in the center "DEDICATION / OF / ROD, WIRE AND CABLE MILL / AUGUST 29, 1950 / 10TH ANNIVERSARY / OF / REDUCTION OPERATIONS / SEPTEMBER 23, 1940".
Historical NotesAlcoa commemorative coin. The coin commemorates the dedication of a new Rod, Wire, and Cable Mill in Vancouver, Washington, on August 20, 1950. The donor Tony Schellenbach's father, Burton W. Schellenbach, was the account executive with Fuller, Smith and Ross, an advertising agency in Cleveland, Ohio, who handled Alcoa's advertising.
