DescriptionGold-tone metal golf green repair tool. Tool has two blades at one end that are attached to the tool body by a silver-tone bolt that allows them to pivot. Silver-tone metal blade swivels out from one side of the body. One end of the tool has an attachment clip.Dimensions1.438 x 0.25 x 4.625 in. (3.7 x 0.6 x 11.7 cm)MarksAt the center of the tool body is a round metal nut that surrounds a hole, the nut has inscribed text "SON / CHU" or "CHU / SON" depending on how it is read.
Historical NotesPart of a collection related to Aaronel deRoy Gruber and her husband Irving B. Gruber. This item belonged to either Aaronel or Irving. Aaronel graduated from Allderdice High School in 1936 and she was the only girl allowed to practice with the boy's golf team. She continued to play golf throughout her life, and even shot a hole in one at Westmoreland Country Club at the age of 73. Donor Terry Gruber is the son of Aaronel deRoy Gruber and Irving Gruber.
