Historical NotesNazi Party banner brought back from Europe after WWII by James L. Swauger. According to an accompanying note the banner was from Trier. Donated to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History by James L. Swauger, transferred to the Heinz History Center. The donor grew up in Turtle Creek and during the war was a member of Second Platoon, Dog Battery, 796th Anti-aircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion (self propelled). His uniform was part of an earlier transfer by the Carnegie.
