Historical NotesOxygen tanks used for anesthesia machine (2009.18.3). From a collection of Civilian Defense Emergency Medical Supplies from a Civilian Defense Mobile Hospital in Pittsburgh. These 200-bed emergency hospitals were set up at designated sites around the country in case of a nuclear war in the 1950s.
