Historical NotesApothecary bottle manufactured by the Edlis Company. Adolf Edlis founded the Pittsburgh Barber and Beauty Supply Business, later known as the Edlis Company, in 1888. The company manufactured perfumes, shampoos, hair dyes, and beauty and barber shop furnishings and distributed various brands of beauty and barber products. The company is still in existence today at 2006 Smallman Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
