Label TextThis reverse painting was done on hand blown glass. The glass would have been coated with turpentine and then a print chosen by the artist soaked in water, partially dried and placed on the glass print side down. The print was then sponged with water and pressed gently to remove all bubbles. The paper back of the print would roll off leaving only the dark outline of the picture. Left to dry naturally, the colors were then painted in by hand, working in reverse.
