DescriptionElectric car with two doors, orange metal body and white fabric top. Small square panel with lock at front of car to access battery. Black vinyl upholstery. Interior is very simple with no window handles, the side windows lift out for complete removal. Dashboard has a battery condition indicator, speedometer, and switches for lights and wipers. A conventional steering wheel with horn button and turn signals, floor pedals for acceleration and braking, hand brake, toggle switch for selecting forward or reverse complete the control system.Historical NotesManufactured at the Westinghouse plant in Redlands, California in 1967. There were approximately 50 Westinghouse Markette vehicles built, this vehicle serial # is 01. It was originally owned by former Westinghouse CEO Donald Burnham, who donated it to the George Westinghouse Museum. The vehicle was transferred to the History Center in 2007 along with the entire collection from the George Westinghouse Museum.On View
