Historical NotesPart of a collection related to the Pittsburgh Gladiators Arena Football League team. Founded in 1987, as one of the four charter teams in the Arena Football League (AFL), the team competed at the Civic Arena until relocating to Tampa, Florida in 1991. This collection documents both the history of the AFL in Pittsburgh and the use of the Civic Arena for sports other than hockey.
