DescriptionCarved wooden figure of with clothing of various fabrics, mounted on a stainless-steel base. The figure is positioned astride a ketchup bottle and holds a can of Heinz Tomato Juice in his upraised hand, the other hand gripping the brim of his top hat. Attached clothing includes: black jacket, grey trousers, white vest, grey bow tie. Bottle and can also constructed of carved wood, with attached paper labels.Dimensions8.125 x 26.9999 x 10 in. InscriptionsKetchup bottle and juice can decorated with actual printed product labels; neck band label appears to be entirely hand-drawn.
Label TextIn the 1930s the Company developed the “Aristocratic Tomato” as a way to emphasize the superior ingredients in Heinz products. Mr. Aristocrat, with his monocle, top hat, and bow tie, advertised for the company into the mid-1940s.
