Historical NotesSouvenir bumper sticker promoting the USFL Pittsburgh Maulers. The United States Football League was a professional league which played its games from 1983-1985 during the spring and summer months. The Pittsburgh Maulers played only one season--1983--winning just two games that season. When the USFL decided to change its schedule to the Fall, many teams, including the Maulers, had to fold due to direct competition with the same city's professional football team.
