Label TextThis lid is the same as the one on the jar to the left. This lid was for a vacuum sealer jar. When hot food or liquids were added to the jar, it self-sealed as it cooled. The closure was so tight that the top often had to be pried off, resulting in a broken lid and glass chips in the food packed inside. F. & J. McKee, Pittsburgh
