Historical NotesThis scale was used by Dr. Albert Goldblum at his office in the Hill District.Label TextIn three of his plays about the Hill District, Fences; Joe Turner’s Come and Gone; and Seven Guitars, August Wilson refers to “Doc Goldblum.” Dr. Albert Goldblum (c907-1968), a 1930 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, was a general practitioner in the Hill District for thirty years. In the early 1960s, he returned to training to become a dermatologist, and practiced in Oakland. This baby scale and the reflector were used in his medical practice.
