DescriptionPumpkin seed boat. Low, flat, central section rectangular cut-out wood with circular metal steering wheel, speedometer; gear on left side with cord attaches to motor. Tightly woven fabric painted white stretched over front, black and white painted finish overall. Metal handle on outside, front, center and two handles equidistant on rear. Historical NotesThis racing boat was owned and raced by the James Altman Family of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, during 20 years of racing, beginning in 1930. They won many races including national championships. Jim Altman was the Class C record holder during the 1930s. Mary Altman won the Class M championship in 1939.
