Historical NotesPart of a collection of television repair equipment documenting donor Robert Kruszewski's father Charles J. Kruszewski’s side job as a television and radio repairman post WWII. Charles used the G.I. Bill to enroll in a home study course on practical television and radio repair. The course was offered by National Radio and Television Repair in Washington, D.C. Working on nights and weekends after his regular job at General Motors was done, he serviced many neighbor’s equipment in the Ninth Ward of Lawrenceville. The donor remembers going out on repair calls with this father and bringing back the more difficult cases to his home repair shop. As televisions became more complicated this type of home repair died out.
