Historical NotesPaperweight from the Calgon Carbon Corporation (CCC). CCC was founded in 1942 as the Pittsburgh Coke & Chemical Company, a manufacturer of products used in steel production. CCC got its start by creating a bituminous coal-based filter for gas masks during WWII. Still based in Pittsburgh, the company produces carbon based filtration/ purification products.
