Historical NotesBoston photographer Carl Horner took shot of Wagner in 1904 as part of a commemoration of the first World Series in 1903, the image appears on several later, non-tobacco cards. The pastel background version of this card is the most standard version. Johannes Peter Wagner went by several names, he was most commonly known as Honus but throughout his life was known as Jack, John, and Hans, as printed at the bottom of this card.
