DescriptionTrophy with a wooden base with a metal top in the design of a leaf wreath above which is a figure of a woman running with a bat in her left hand. From the pedestal that the woman is standing on dangles an eight-pointed star with name inscribed on the front. On the front of the base is a gold-colored plaque with award inscription.Dimensions12 x 3 x 3.5 in. (30.5 x 7.6 x 8.9 cm)InscriptionsEight-pointed star has the name "Mary" inscribed on the front.
On the front of the base is a gold-colored plaque with text "SATELITES / 2ND PLACE - 1972".
Historical NotesObject belonged to Mildred Martin Allen, who helped to develop the Tri-Boro Softball League and served as its commissioner during much of its existence from 1960-1976. She also played and coached the Satellites softball team (1960-1976). Donated by Mildred Allen's daughter, Beatrice M. Harper.
