DescriptionPrinting press block of an image of Nikola Tesla from his chest up. In the bottom left corner is a diagonal copy of Tesla's signature. The image and writing are a mirror image and are reversed. The image is blue from use in the printing press. The block is mostly unfinished wood with the image engraved on a thins sheet of metal. The sides of the block as well as the reverse are stained from the ink. The reverse has three white rectangles of paper stuck to the block which are equal in size.Dimensions4.938 x 3.563 x 0.938 in. (12.5 x 9.1 x 2.4 cm)
InscriptionsIn the bottom left corner is a diagonal copy of signature "Nikola Tesla"; text is inverted.

The left side has a mark of an "X" in what appears to be pencil.
Historical NotesPrinting press block of an image of Nikola Tesla. Donor Leland Anderson is a writer and researcher who is the author of a number of published works on the electrical engineer and inventor Nikola Tesla. Tesla, who worked for Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Company in 1888, was known for his work on the alternating current system, radio communication, and X-ray technology. Beginning in the 1940s and continuing over the next 50 years, Anderson compiled a large collection of research materials documenting the life and work of Tesla.
