Historical NotesByzantine cross brought to America from Chios, Greece, in 1947, by Eugenia Pagonis. Eugenia arrived in Pittsburgh via New York. She came because her family had arranged a marriage between her and a Greek Cypriot, Andreas Savas Constantinides.
