This Pasadena, Texas phthalic anhydride plant, one of two world-scale chemical plants owned by TENN-USS, started commercial operations in late 1983. This plant could produce 210 million pounds of phthalic anhydride a year for use in plasticizers, unsaturated polyester resins, and alkyd resins.
