DescriptionRibbon with medal. Top piece: embossed image of an eagle with spread wings, claws gripping two crossed cannons above group of cannonballs. Yellow satin ribbon attached on reverse side. Attached via two loops is another piece with embossed text including superimposed red, white, and blue enamel text; on both sides are embossed images of an American flag and laurel branch. Bottom edge of ribbon has embossed star with floral background. Connected to bottom of this piece via one loop is a circular medal with embossed text and image of the Capitol Building's dome and a shield with stars and stripes.
