Historical NotesTransferred to Heinz History Center when the George Westinghouse Museum closed in 2007.Label TextGIs wore adjustable liners such as this one underneath an outer “steel pot” that were constructed from micarta, a synthetic resin similar to plastic pioneered by George Westinghouse. The Westinghouse Micarta Division produced 13 million of these helmet liners while its Bryant Electric Division produced 10 million.
