Historical NotesA "Cinderella" stove made by the Stove and Range Company of Pittsburgh. The stove was owned and used by donor Diane Tighe's grandmother Emma Elsie Fisher Davidson, who lived at 219 Rochelle Street in the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her husband, John Davidson, was a Scotch immigrant and a carpenter. They were married around 1910. A mention is made of the Cinderella Stove in a 1905 publication, The Metal Worker: Plumber and Steam Fitter which states that the company's stoves are all cast out of a special pig iron and highly finished. They state the company makes several lines of plain ranges and one of the attractive ones being the "Classic Cinderella" stove.
