(23.8 x 14.3 cm, 0.5 cm)Historical NotesThe crucifix relates to the donor's godfather, Stojan Spanovich. A Serb immigrant, he came to the area around 1912, eventually working at Carbon Limestone in Hillsville, PA. In accordance with the Orthodox tradition, St. Elijah Church (Aliquippa) presented this crucifix to Spanovich's family following his death in 1979.
